Normally the patient’s are just the ‘means’ they are the case but we don’t normally care much about them. It’s how the team comes together after trial and error (and trial and error, because as they usually do solve the ‘unsolvable’ it isn’t without a lot of miss fires) to fix them that compels us to watch. But this week, our patient, the son of a very wealthy man, excites me in a way no one has thus this season.

“I want House.” Three words and yet I practically leapt out of my seat. Finally. Someone saying what I have been saying. (And I imagine everyone at home, unless they really dig Foreman). So maybe it’s not the patient I love, as his father, demanding the unshaven doctor be the one treating his son. And he’s played by the guy we see everywhere, Lee Tergesen, (most famous in my mind for his role on Oz), so it’s like he really is the voice of the people. “I want the best. And everyone I’ve asked says that’s House. So unless he’s dead, comatose, or insane, I want him treating my son today.” My response to this is, why did the TPTB make us wait this long for you?

The scenes between Chase and Foreman where they are trying to figure out how they are going to cover up Chase basically killing President Dibala in last week’s episode served two different purposes for me. In one sense I felt like I was getting hit over the head with how serious this was and how Foreman could lose his job, etc, etc. I got it writers. But what I did like about the story line was Chase’s way of coping. He could not be present with his wife at all. So distant. And yet he, in many ways, if I were to take last week’s scene correctly, did it for his wife. Numerous times we were shown Cameron waking up alone. Foreshadowing absolutely. Again, I really think Jesse Spencer is showing some great acting chops in these two episodes. (Then again these two episodes is more he has had to do than in the last two years). Not really a fan of House knowing, an in an essence being okay with what Chase and Foreman (since Foreman burned the evidence) did. Wasn’t there something in the past Chase did that House reprimanded him for? And I think it was far less than killing someone.

As I’ve said before I actually like Thirteen, but what in the world was that randomness? I mean, really? I still don’t understand it. This actually made me start to believe those theories that the writers really do just want her in whatever possible, because, seriously what the peanut butter crackers was that all about? House tells her he doesn’t want her back on the team because he wants to save his relationship with Foreman? (I won’t even go into the weirdness that was the cab ride) Then later when Cuddy brings up the fact that Thirteen called about the hacking, (seriously why can’t she just re-book her flight? Am I missing something?) House then says it’s about Foreman staying in charge of the team. I don’t know. The whole thing confused me. Then Wilson got involved. So he did hack it? But for what reason? I still don’t get, or don’t understand. Wow. I could write more about how I feel that was the most pointless storyline, but I feel you get my drift.

Two weeks in with the old team and I can honestly say I don’t really care either way. I don’t have strong opinions one way or the other. I remember when the introduced the new team a few years ago, I thought it was a nice way to literally infuse the show with new blood. Now, as we go back to the old cast, who have been relegated, with the exception of Omar Epps as Foreman, as side players, it becomes even more apparent. It doesn’t matter who is on the team, it’s House that matters. My problem now with the re-introduction of the old team, is having to remember who and where they where. I know there are some out there who could run a list of Cameron facts, but I can’t. I don’t think I knew either her or Chase’s first names until this week’s episode. Again, I find myself not caring, but at the same time thinking, I should know this by now. It’s an odd thing to be thinking in the middle of watching a familiar television show.

A few final thoughts: Again I loved just the little moment between House and Cuddy where they where talking about Foreman staying in charge. “He loves power. And I loves puzzles.” “You love power and puzzles,” Cuddy retorts. “True, but when I had then both..” There’s just that little moment where they look at each other. It’s perfect. It’s not a Wilson/House moment, but it’s close. And again I still like how House is really trying to not fall back into old habits but move in a forward direction, stemming from that first episode.

What made this episode infinitely better than those before it: House actually being involved in the patient’s case. Therefore we are slowly getting are show back.

Tonight’s episode is brought to you by the Bad Idea bears from Avenue Q. It seemed that all the way around our favorite cast of misfits could not make a good decision. Well, except Puck, but he was barely on the screen this week.

Terri: She is a walking bad decision, while  I know she is the character we are suppose to love to hate, I am getting tired of her manipulating Will with no repercussions.  When Terri is warned by Sue that she is losing her husband to Terri decides that maybe she can work more than 4 hours at a time and gets a job, that conveniently opened up, at the school as the school nurse.  With her first aid training and defibrillator usage, she gets the job.  Once she catches Will in a special moment with Emma and is now around all the time, driving Will crazy, and, she thinks, keeping her husband. But then maybe it is Terri who makes the bonehead move of the night, but really I doubt we expect less from her at this point. When Finn comes in, unable to get enough rest, she gives him some cold medicine (amphetamines), she calls them vitamins. Since it is over the counter and FDA approved it has to be good for you, or at least that is how she rationalizes it.  This lapse in judgment gets Terri fired, and back to Sheet’s and Things she goes.

Mr. Figgins: What besides the ‘Airline yoga’ video does Sue have on him? It has to be something since he keeps allowing her to get whatever she wants. Tonight he hires Terri as the school nurse. With really no good reason, except she did give a sob story about needing money for the not-so-real baby.

Sue: Frustrated by the home-perm-buying Will, she decided that since she can’t destroy the “Clutch of Scab Eating Mouth Breathers that only come back stronger, like some sexually ambiguous creature from a horror movie villain,” she decides to destroy the man, so that the team will be destroyed.  She goes to Terri and tells her to worry about her husband and the man-eater that is Emma. She suggests they move out-of-town before she looses her husband to a “Mentally ill ginger-haired pygmy with eyes like a bush baby.”  Of course all this treachery gets her, at the end of the day, is co-coaching the Glee Club.

Will: Oh Will, so naive at times. With sectionals coming up and the Glee team lacking focus, he gets the bright idea, suggested by Emma in a round about sticker influenced way, to set the boys against the girls.  He asks them both to create a mash up routine, and the winner picks song for Sectionals. But Will comes to his senses and tells Terri that every time he starts a fire in his life she finds a way to make sure it burns the forest down. Will’s judgment comes into question since he emphasizing competition too much. He now has to deal with a co-coach, his arch nemesis, Sue.

Finn: Finn is conflicted with dance steps, football plays, Quinn and Rachel all running through his head, the poor boy is not sleeping. We know he is dense, so it is no surprise that when Terri offers him a way to stop sleeping his life away, he takes it. There was something a little creepy about a manic Finn singing, and his equally manic teammates backing him up. Finn at least realizes that he made a mistake and decides with Rachel to fess up to what they all did and let Will know.

Ken: Ken loves Emma, we all know that. But since she does not let him touch her, or really get too close, it is unclear how much of a relationship they really have. That does not stop Terri from telling him to be a man and propose to Emma to seal the deal.  He buys her the world smallest cubic zirconia ring and proposes in the teacher’s lounge, once Terri panics and pushes him into it.  I feel bad for him, he does not seem like a mean-spirited man, but Emma is just so not right for him.

Emma: Poor Emma, she still loves Will so much, and is still flirting with him, even wiping mustard off his chin with her plastic gloved hands.  Once Terri shows up as Nurse, Emma’s precious Will time is cut short.  Terri confronts her and tells her that there is NO way she will get Will. Emma asks Will what she should do, when  Will gives her no answer, and so Emma makes the poorest decision of the day when she asks Ken: “What would getting married mean exactly? Because I would want to keep my last name, and I’d want to continue living in separate parts of the town, and I think it would be best if we don’t see each other after school.” Ken agrees, but Emma is not done with her list of demands for this non-marriage marriage. “And I wouldn’t want a big ceremony like in a church,  with people. We wouldn’t need to invite anybody or tell anybody, more like a secret, like a secret marriage.”  Ken sees this as a better deal then he expected. Emma does not want to be alone and knows he feels the same way, so they get engaged.

Quinn: Quinn, Quinn, Quinn. Yes, she is still pregnant. A quiver in her leg has Sue concerned about her dedication to the Cheerios.  Quinn stops showing up to Glee, because she has too much on her mind.  Rachel has a little girl talk with her and talks her into coming back, since with child or not  Glee will be there for her. I gotta hand it to Rachel it was a high moment for her. Well, while the rest of the Glee girls get dosed by Nurse Terri, Quinn gets folic acid to help her baby.  Inspired with an idea, Quinn tries to ask Terri for cash to help her carry the child to term and remain fashionable, in exchange for getting the baby once it is born. This made Terri, of course very happy, but she is too cheap to help Quinn, since she will have 18 years of paying for the kid to think about.

Rachel in one of her more rational episodes, makes mostly good decisions and just one bad one. She talks Quinn into coming back to Glee, she tries to get the girls all focused on the competition and then when she finds out the boys all took a stimulant for their competition, the girls do too.  But realizing that copying baseball, everyone does it so if we do too it levels the playing field, gives you a false sense of victory, she talks Finn into confessing to Will. She apologizes to Finn for being too competitive, she decides she needs to compete with the team not against the team.

Only 2 musical numbers tonight, would have been nice to have more.  The boys sing a mash up of  It’s My Life and Usher’s Confession, they do a nice job with the costumes and the songs. The girls do a bright yellow-dressed themed mash-up of Halo and Walking on Sunshine. They do a nice job, but I don’t think it is as strong vocally as some of their other numbers.

BBC unveiled a nifty new logo for forever-running sci-fi hit Doctor Who.  We know it’s not much, but DW fans have been rather neglected the last year or two, what with only a small handful of specials here and there.  BBC America has yet to announce an exact date, but we’re told the next special,  The Waters of Mars, will air sometime this fall with two more specials in the next few months.  A full new season will finally premiere sometime in spring 2010.

DVR Life was rather wow-ed by frosh cop-drama Southland late last season.  We were even more wow-ed when NBC renewed the series for a second season.  If you happened to have missed the first season, it’s rather short so I’d suggest you get caught up in the coming weeks.  I mean, when was the last time a police-based drama really wow-ed you?  Outside of The Closer I can’t think of many recent ones.

The second season of Southland premieres Friday October 23rd at 8pm on NBC.

House I am your patient. Having James Earl Jones as your patient you almost can’t go wrong, yet there were many aspects of this episode that either fell short or made me want to fast forward. Can’t quite put my finger on exactly what it was, but I do feel that although we are only 3 episodes in, this season isn’t exactly must-see-TV.

“Oh my God it’s three years ago.” Thank you House for stating what will be the rest of this episode. And for some, a long awaited reunion. I never really cared much. Time has passed and while most of the online fandom has a general hate on for Thirteen and the screen time devoted to her, I enjoy Olivia Wilde. It is interesting to note that Peter Jacobsen, who plays Taub, was completely missing from the credits. Is he really gone? I assumed he (Taub) had quit because Foreman was now in charge, but his absence in the credits leaves me to question otherwise.

Because Foreman fired his girlfriend (which I’m glad that Chase thinks it was a (insert a bad word here) move to do. Because it was, Foreman, no matter how you try to justify it. Seriously) Cuddy wants Chase and Cameron to work for Foreman (House doesn’t have his license back so until then Mr. Unhappy, I’m looking at you Foreman, is in charge). To further complicate things their patient, Diabla, “…is one of the most repressive dictators in the world. We fix him he gets on a plane and he executes half of his country.” (Cameron)

House and Wilson at home. I love how House can tell when anything Wilson does is even remotely off. He didn’t put garlic on the chicken and he’s not wearing shoes. I think it’s so cute how extra special attention he plays to whatever Wilson is doing. Of course, House being House, those things aren’t just a coincidence. Why would they be? Who just decides to not wear their shoes all of a sudden? They’ve got a downstairs neighbor that has been complaining ever since House moved in. Ahh, a challenge for House.

In an odd twist of sorts, Cameron wants to kill her patient and finds it’s only natural. She’s not trying to kill their patient, but if he died she isn’t going to pretend that it isn’t better for the world. I agree in the sense that he is a ‘bad guy.’ but Cameron was always the one who never ever wanted to see death. I find it interesting that Chase is the one trying to tell her that’s never the appropriate thing to think. Of course that changes later on.

Jesse Spencer was the stand out for me in this episode. Not only did he get to do more in this episode in the last 3+ years but what he did with it reminded me that he is one talented actor. The scenes between Chase and Diabla where the only times I felt invested in the story line. Spencer really went toe to toe with the great Earl Jones. I forgot that he really did make a good foil to House, and look forward to seeing more of him. I’ve grown tired of Foreman and his antics, I’m more than ready to see Chase at the forefront. Plus what Chase did, without his wife’s knowledge, will definitely come into play later on and perhaps will shake up the show into a different, much needed, direction.

A couple of random thoughts: I like Thirteen. And hope she gets back on the team. I do not, however, like her with Foreman. Together they are boring and Foreman makes what can be an intriguing character, in my opinion, (Thirteen) as boring as him.

Normally I enjoy House’s little side stories. I didn’t really enjoy this story. That being said I did find the mirror magic box quite compelling and dare I say it, even moving.

We have seen far too little Cuddy this season. I know she always get a very short story line, if any, but I think we need more of her, and more of her now. Just like Wilson, she adds depth to both House as the character and a much needed element to the show, that’s so far been lacking.

One last thing. This show needs House at the lead. Foreman is tiring and arrogant in a way that is not, well, it’s not House. Let’s get this show and it’s people back where they all belong.

All in all I think there were possibly too many story lines going on. And because of that I didn’t or couldn’t quite engage myself in any of them in a way that I felt I should or wanted to. Is it just me or has this show started out a little rough? Is it the fact that we have House on a new path? I can’t put my finger on exactly what feels different or wrong, but I’m not where I was with this show last year.

As the weather cools and leaves turn, harvests are collected and animals prepare for hibernation, we here at DVR Life are locked securely in our living room, curtains drawn tight, remote in hand, just waiting…waiting for the return of Nip/Tuck.  The series has been a consistent mind-blower for five seasons now, though FX’s little trick of stretching 1 season out for a year or two is a bit trying, while tickling us with impressive visual beauty and drama that could be considered so campy, John Waters would be proud.

The official take:

L.A. continues to be the land of plenty for the relocated plastic surgeons of McNamara/Troy. An aspiring rapper wants more booty to shake, so would the docs please put some junk in her trunk? Can would-be vampires have those nasty neck wounds concealed? Can a yoga expert with a giant, uh, appendage have it shortened? Yes to all the above. And maybe everyone, even the docs, should also have a check-up from the neck up.

Season 5 wraps with 8 episodes of envelope-pushing surgery, surprise, silliness and seriousness. Yes, seriousness. Because Christian now battles the Big C. Sean copes with the aftermath of the knife attack. And Liz says “I do” to the last person you’d imagine. Time to stretch your imaginations, fans.

Here’s an extended trailer for BBC America’s upcoming series Occupation.  The trailer hints at a dark and emotionally taxing drama.  We’re excited for the return of JamesNesbitt.  His last appearance on BBC America in Jekyll was spectacular, to say the least, and we’ve always held out hope that the network would one day show Murphy’s Law or any of his TV films (Quite Ugly One Morning, Passerby) we’ve heard such great things about.

The official description:

Having participated in the invasion, and helped fly a critically injured child from Basra to a UK hospital, three soldiers find it impossible to slot back into civilian life. Driven by very different motives – each heads back to Basra.  Sergeant Mike Swift (James Nesbitt, Jekyll, Murphy’s Law) returns for the love of an Iraqi doctor, Aliyah (Lubna Azabal). Corporal Danny Peterson (Stephen Graham, Boardwalk Empire, This Is England) returns for money, setting up a private security firm. S1 E5 Recap By Michelle Ann

Kristin Chenoweth joins the New Directions this week and it seems like everybody gets a little bit selfish. Finn’s growing attachment to Rachel leads me to hope they deal with the Quinn baby thing quickly. Tonight’s ep begins with our favorite singers in full “Don’t Stop Believin” mode, only it is not Rachel singing with Finn, it’s Quinn. She has a little morning sickness moment and heads for the restroom. This leads Kurt to want to discuss the big elephant in the room that is NOT his sexuality, but the fact that they need Rachel. Finn is worried that the lead part might be too tough for the mama-to-be and he wants Mr. Shu to go easy on her.

Will and Terri are having lunch at a local dine in restaurant and as she wolfs down her third piece of grasshopper pie, Will tells Terri about Quinn morning sickness and she is quite happy to hear that, since it means the baby will not be a mongoloid. Will then worries about his own (fictional) baby that Terri is supposed to have in her belly and Terri plays it off and says she has been sick at work. Will recognizes the waiter as a former student. Turns out he is a 6th year senior, as in 24 years of age. He is with Vocal Adrenalin now, as the only one who can do a triple flip, they keep failing him.

Emma has brought Finn in to discuss his situation. Since Will told her in confidence she does a poor job faking that she knows nothing. She talks to him about a  music scholarship. Of course she is being selfish here, since she knows that Will really wants Rachel back in Glee, and Emma applies the pressure here to get Finn to go work on Rachel and convince her to come back. Of course she does not tell Finn this, she just pushes him in the right direction. Will asks if they can win without Rachel and Emma tells him to remember the Jamaican bob-sled team. BIIIIIIG longshot.

A newspaper nerd interviews Rachel. As usual she is pretty confident and Newspaper Nerd demands to see her over the shoulder boulder holder and to get those cashmere puppies out of their cage for a good review. Rachel is horrified at the prospect. Sandy interrupts and runs the guy off while giving his production ideas for a new production of Equus.  Finn walks in and starts to sweet talk Rachel, and smooth things over with her, he tells her she is even more talented than the guys who juggle chain saws.  He offers his line reading services and Rachel jumps at the chance. He even taunts her with the prospect of low lighting.  Rachel is giddy and Finn gets a sly selfish smile across his lips, mission accomplished.

Will is pestering Emma for the file of a student that attended school 15 years ago, it seems she has not graduated.  He gets an awful, selfish idea and logs on to her MySpace page to locate her blog and then has an IM chat with her (surprised he did not just go for her twitter account) and they make contact. She would love to see him, as long as he brings the wings.  Emma is a little jealous, since Will had a crush on April  (Chenoweth) back in high school.  Emma is all worried that he might rekindle the crush.

Will heads over to this beautiful house. It is quite impressive and April is quite drunk, she just cracked open a new box of wine. Their tete-a-tete is interrupted by the arrival of the realator, apparently the house is in foreclosure and April is a squatter.  Apparently she and her high school sweetheart tried to head to Broadway and got stuck sling hash and things went downhill from there. She attached herself to the wrong star and now her life is a mess. Will tells her to go back and finish school and join Glee. She dumps the rest of her wine out of the cup and takes him up on his offer.

April comes into Glee (aka the world’s worst Benetton add). Glee thinks she is too old and not really right. Besides they miss Rachel and would rather wait for her.  Kurt mentions that Rachel is in the High School production of Cabaret and that is the only invitation that April has to belt out, “Maybe This Time” They do a great job inter-cutting April’s performance with Rachel singing the same song on stage.  It really demonstrates the strengths of both Kristin Chenoweth and Lea Michele.  Kurt is left with one tear running down his face.

April is getting drunk on Crantini’s in Spanish class and Will has a little talk with her. He asks her to try to win them over. Over the Hall and Oats classic “Make My Dreams Come True,”  April takes on the Glee kids one at time. She gets Kurt drunk and gives him old muscle man magazines, she teaches Mercedes and Tina how to shoplift and has a romp in the shower with Puck.  Quickly winning her way into all the kids’ lives.  Things are not going so well with Rachel. Sandy does not like her (beautiful) singing and says he needs a singer with more maturity. Rachel points out that Sandy wants to selfishly be in the musical, but she is not going anywhere so he better get use to that idea.

Finn is talking to Rachel and we get a quick little double take.

Rachel: “I’m sleeping with him.”
Finn: “So am I.”

Turns out it they are just running lines. Rachel compliments his acting he tells her that maybe they both can do both and to sweeten the deal, he drops the bribe, not to elope as Rachel would like, but to go bowling so they can loosen up and relax, just the two of them. Rachel jumps at the chance, but they are interrupted.  April needs to learn the lead to “Don’t Stop Believin‘” and that just pisses off Finn (who pretty much had Rachel agree to come back) and Rachel, who figures she is really not necessary especially when replaced with someone so ancient.

Emma notices a strange odor pass her in the hall and it is poor Kurt, looking all dishevelled and smelling of rubbing alcohol.  Kurt thinks that Emma is Bambi and he takes the opportunity to toss his cooking all over her shoes. After getting 4 decontamination treatments aka the “Full Silkwood” at the local hospital, Emma is back to talk to Will about the bad influence his selfish decision to bring April into the fold has created.  Emma doubts it is a fake ID since he looks like an 11-year-old milkmaid  and April’s backpack is always clanking with empties. Will promises to make this right. Emma reminds him that it is not all about winning and that he needs to give the kids a chance. She asks him to think about why he is doing this and what he is willing to sacrifice to get it.

Sandy and Rachel have it out again. Sandy tells her that she sucks and this lands Rachel crying her eyes out in the ladies room.  April joins her and indicates that Finn is on her radar and this sends Rachel over the edge. Rachel tells her to watch out and April fires back that she likes it in the spotlight and she will not give that up.

Finn and Rachel go bowling. Rachel is hesitant to stick her fingers in the dirty ball holes. Finn picks out a pretty pink ball for her to use, since it is her favorite color. Meanwhile down at the other end of the lanes Will and April are also bowling. Will lays down the law.  She needs to be a better influence on the kids. April tosses out her wine and agrees to go back on the wagon.  Will confesses that he really wanted to sing with her and that she was the reason that he joined Glee. She drags him to the back room where they have karaoke on Wednesday.  She starts to sing “Alone” by Heart with Will as her backup. It sounds great and the gathered bingo crowd agreed.

Finn and Rachel enjoy a pizza with pepperoni imported from some foreign place like Michigan.  Finn tells Rachel that Glee does not just appreciate her talent, they like her and they consider her a friend.  He gets up and hands her the pink ball to bowl the last frame. Somehow she scores a strike and they embrace and share a little kiss. He tells her to come back to Glee. She asks about Quinn and he says that he has no idea what the future holds, he just wants to spend time with her now. She decides to quit the play and they hug it out. Rachel is happy, Finn is a little concerned.

Our not-so-sharp-as-tacks Glee Club is trying to figure out why Quinn runs out all the time in the morning. Kurt suggests lactose intolerance, Artie does not think that takes into consideration the crying. Tina suggests she just does not like Glee. Puck steps up and spills the whole baby thing to the group. Rachel then walks in all excited to be back and is greeted with a less than enthusiastic response. She then finds out the boy she kissed and is crushing on, has apparently knocked up his girlfriend.

Finn drops off the application for the scholarship and is feeling pretty good. He is walking down the hall when Rachel finds him and slaps him for leading her on, and not letting her know about the baby. He spills the whole scholarship thing and she tells him he should have just been honest.  She wishes him best with the little family he is creating and now, embarrassed by the kiss, she can not come back to Glee.  Desperate now, Rachel stops Sue (finally she show up). A small but fun scene.  She asks that Sue help her with Sandy, apparently he now wants to write himself in as queen Cleopatra. Although that aroused Sue at first, she quickly grew disgusted with the idea and decides to give Rachel complete artistic control. I thought that Sandy was in charge of all the arts, oh well…moving on.

Glee is warming up and they are all dressed in black and red cowboy outfits. April is in a pink sparkly one and very drunk and kisses Puck. Emma interrupts them and goes to tell Will that April almost hit her in the parking lot.  She tells him that she cannot go on. Will says if she doesn’t then none of them do. And on they go. On stage they do this good little country song  “Last Name” by Carrie Underwood with line dancing. April looks a little out-of-place up there and Rachel, while probably impressed, looks a little shocked. Will now knows what he needs to do; be an unselfish adult.

He talks to April and tells her that since she broke a promise he can’t have her go back out on stage. April agrees that it was not right. She thinks that everyone needs a time in the spotlight and she felt back in the game. She decides that she needs to stop hogging the sunshine of the other kids and she is going to head out and get sober. She thinks maybe Broadway and Will suggests Branson.

Will has to tell the group that they can’t go on for the second act because April is no longer in Glee. He admits it was selfish of him to bring her in, since “they don’t need her to be great”. Rachel comes in and volunteers to be the understudy and take the part.  Mercedes challenges her on that since Rachel has never under studied anything. Rachel tells them “that being a star did not make her feel as special as being their friend.” She does not want to let them down again. Quinn pipes up, sensing a rival that Rachel does not know the choreography.  Finn says they can teach her quickly. The show is saved and they sing Queen’s “Somebody to Love“. Emma is all choked up that Will made the right decision and they sit side by side in the audience enjoying the performance.

We love a good surprise when it comes to TV news and have we got one!  After being a big hit and signing all kinds of worldwide deals, ITV went ahead and canceled it’s hit sci-fi series Primeval.  Here we are now a few months later and what the heck do they go and do?  They uncancel it!

The list of shows that have been canceled and then uncanceled is a rather short one and we’re certainly glad to add Primeval to it.  We must admit that, due to BBC America airing Primeval much later in the states than in the UK, news of the cancellation came in about half way through series 3 airing in the U.S.  Being the petty, story obsessed TV snobs we are, DVR Life didn’t even bother watching the season finale because we were tipped off to the cliff hanger ending and figured…you know, why bother?  So now we better catch up!

According to the press release, the series will return in 2011 with 13 new episodes featuring the same cast as series 3.  No word on when it will air on BBC America, but we’re hoping for a summer return.
